Pinot Noir, depending on the region also known as Late, Blue or Black Burgundy, is one of the most important varieties of noble
grapes and a classic red wine of cooler wine-growing regions. In Italy, for example, the majority of the area under cultivation
is accounted for by the northern zones - such as South Tyrol, where the bright ruby red wine has been cultivated for over 150
years. Its juicy fruit aromas and dense structure give the Grappa Pinot Noir a special, complex fullness. This varietal speciality is
distilled from pomace of small wineries, such as the Stroblhof Eppan. This is known for the Pinot Noir Pigeno with its fine sour
cherry bouquet and the special Riserva, which is vinified only in above average good vintages. Selected, healthy and full-ripe
grapes from the best sites and old grape vine stocks guarantee an elegant Pinot Noir with balanced tannins and fine aromas.
Qualities that the master distiller of Plun-Hof knows how to bring to life again in the Grappa. In the nose, the Grappa Pinot Noir
unfolds aromas of full-ripe cherries, wild berries and a hint of bitter almond. On the palate, the distillate is powerful, with very
present tannins, which combine in soft, light-fruity notes in the finish.
